Small things I build to learn: graphics, generative art, and trying out programming languages I don't use at work. Every post has the experiment running in it.
- Calx order dashboard An internal order dashboard I built for Calx, an online sticker print shop in Mexico, after its spreadsheet could no longer take new orders.
- Cooking with what I have, using AI only once A recipe finder built from my own cookbooks. A model reads the books one time, and plain tested code answers every search, offline and for free.
- A RAG assistant that knows when to say no A proof of concept for a prospective client: a chat assistant that answers medical insurance paperwork questions from public documents, with citations. Most of the work went into measuring it.
- A newspaper page for my family's money Two private dashboards I use to track my ETF portfolio and simulate my kid's college fund for the next 17 years. An LLM is the input form and git is the database.
- Count Echula A rhythm game I designed and built in five days with a coding agent, then finished by hand. My entry for the Rive Halloween Challenge 2026.
- Fractal trees One recursive function, drawn twice: Rust compiled to WebAssembly on a 2D canvas, and TypeScript with Three.js.
